During the campaign, Obama promised to bring us a "civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded" as our nation's military and now he is trying to deliver (and then some) in perhaps the most scary piece of legislation to date.

The Post says that Kagan "defied Republican efforts to pigeonhole the type of Supreme Court justice she would be." Well perhaps she fooled the Republicans on the committee, but she is not fooling the common sense people of America. Some sample videos that spell it out pretty well in her own words:
 

Moran make a full of himself in this video. For starters, his statistic that Obama has created more jobs over the last 6 months than Bush did over 8 years is untrue and ignores the fact that most of the jobs that were created were temporary census worker jobs and that over the last 18 months we have stolen more than $2.2 trillion from our children.

Only one representative from Virginia (Goodlatte) has co-sponsored the effort the repeal the health care bill. So much for myth that Cantor and Wolf care about the Constitution...  The complete list follows with those that have co-sponsored the bill listed first:

235 years after Patrick Henry gave his "Give me Liberty or Give me Death" speech, Virginia filed their suit against the health care act 1 mile away on the same street on which PH gave that speech.

I previously explained how Obama was trying to seize BP; one of the readers sent me an e-mail asking how the US government could seize a foreign firm. Which seems to be a valid question on the surface and thought I would further explain the process. In short, I believe Obama's strategy is to make BP liable for so much debt, that the only way that it can pay is to hand over the keys to the US government. 

Ken Cuccinelli made me proud of my first name; Ken Salazar has just ruined it.

U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar told a Senate hearing he would ask BP to repay the salaries of any workers laid off because of the six-month moratorium on deepwater exploratory drilling imposed by the U.S. government after the spill.

 The results are in:

VA-1: Wittman (R incumbent): 88% over Crabill (12%) --- 6.6% voter turnout
Crabill did have some Patriot support, but from what I could tell, was not very well versed on the issues and Wittman had only been in office a short time and had a decent voting record. In general, I think Patriots should be reasonably satisfied with this outcome.
